Freelance writer Logan Ward talks about his family’s year of living as 19th-
century subsistence farmers in Swoope, Virginia. The Wards adopted strict
rules that limited them only to tools that were available at the turn of the
century and managed to put food on the table as well as reconnect and
rebuild their marriage. A book signing will follow the talk. This is a special
event for members of the Page Turner Society and sponsors of the Library's
annual literary awards. Seating for members of the public is limited.

author’s work at each of its Book Talk events. Registration takes place before
each event. You must be present to win.
