On this subject under recent discussion, a note from Steve Broyles
today advised:
>>The Deed Data Pool at http://www.ultranet.com/~deeds has been updated. There is a new Isle of Wight Co. file and the files for Sussex, Southampton, and Powhatan Cos. have been merged into single files for those counties. Careful attention has been paid to getting the parcel placements to be as accurate as possible. In addition, new indexes have been built for these and other counties, sorted in order of the patentee. The files that have been modified now contain release dates next to their descriptions.
With these latest improvements, a number of counties are now more or
less completely mapped: Powhatan, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Goochland, and
Greensville, with other counties being well on their way. Overall,
roughly 10% of Virginia's patents have now been mapped out!<<
