The Jepson School of Leadership Studies of the University of Richmond
and the Library of Virginia cordially invite you to attend "Transforming
Leadership: The Pursuit of Happiness -- An Evening With James MacGregor
Burns" at the Library of Virginia on Thursday, March 27, 2003 from 5:30 to
7:00 P.M.
This program launches Dr. Burns's major East Coast tour for his new
book, TRANSFORMING LEADERSHIP, just published by the Atlantic Monthly
Press.
James MacGregor Burns is a Pulitzer Prize-winning Presidential
biographer, the winner of the National Book Award, a pioneer in the study
of leadership, and the author of more than a dozen books. He is also
Senior Scholar at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the
University of Richmond.
Dr. Burns will speak about his new book and engage the audience in
a discussion about leadership issues. His book will be available for
purchase at the Library Shop. A book signing and reception will follow
the program.
The Library of Virginia is located at 800 East Broad Street in
downtown Richmond. Parking is available underneath the Library building,
and the parking garage may be accessed from both Eighth and Ninth Streets,
toward the back of the building.
