I'm think the emphasis one choses re. the celebration at Jamestown depends on one's interests  and does not necessarily indicate a bias or lack thereof.  (Who can not smile when thinking of Randy and his trumpets?)

  One thing that is certain: Colonization and conquest did not come to Jamestown or even Plymouth with the Europeans, but were long practiced by the tribes.
