Lena,
You are in luck!! Go to this link on the LVA website, http://www.lva.lib.va.us/whatwehave/photo/index.htm, scroll down and click on the link to "School Buildings Service Photographs." From that point you may can do basic searches (using county names for subjects, or even as "words anywhere), or you can click on the link below the searches, entitled "About the School...Photographs. That should give you many examples of various school designs; also note the related resources link.
Have fun,
Pat Watkinson

Subject: School architecture in Virginia
Greetings all -
I'm seeking to develop a personal library about Virginia architecture.
Does anyone know of any good publications (print or electronic) that
focus on - or at least include - the history of school architecture and
design and that also have examples of schools in Virginia? Any
suggestions would be much appreciated. Please feel free to respond on-
or off-list. If anyone's interested in finding out what sources are
recommended, I'd be glad to send it on to you, just email me. Thanks,
Lena L. Sweeten
