The Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia is pleased to
present, in partnership with the Library of Virginia, a lecture by world-
renowned New York Times photojournalist Chester Higgins, Jr. The lecture,
titled "Invoking the Spirit: Worship Traditions in the African World," is a slide-
illustrated talk featuring images from an exhibit of the same name currently on
display at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center (00 Clay Street,
Richmond, VA 23219).
The lecture will take place at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 16, 2007, in
the Lecture Hall at the Library of Virginia (800 East Broad Street, Richmond,
VA 23219). Tickets are $5 for the general public (Black History Museum
members and Library of Virginia donors are admitted free.) Complimentary
parking is available underneath the Library building.
