The deadline for proposals for the Conference of the Consortium on the
Revolutionary Era is Oct. 15, 2006. This conference will take place in
Arlington, VA. The group wants to broaden its scope -- Atlantic, Caribbean,
and now US too. I would like to pull together a panel on escapes from
enslavement and search for freedom through enlistment in the Revolutionary
Army or flight to the British. Any suggestions for papers?
