In his posting my Cville pal Doug Day misspelled the name of the great
historian David Hackett Fischer. A common error. To the despair of copy
editors, it has a "c" in the middle.  With GW's birthday coming up, I
would urge folks who have not read Fischer's "Washington's Crossing" to
run out and get it.  A fabulous book.
