Native Americans were also enslaved in many
areas of North America, sometimes by other
Native Americans and sometimes by European
settlers, both in the English and the Spanish
colonies.
For information on this in Colonial South
Carolina, see Walter Edgar's South Carolina:
A History (1998), pages 85 - 87 as well as
pages 98 through 100.
