I did not nor do I want GOVERNMENT MONEY SPENT on our quest. This is a
matter of family honor. Now let the family's pay for it or a foundation or
two that will fund these endeavours.
Our families were always for personal resolution, not hand - outs or
assistance from the government agencies or largesse of someone who does not
have a dog in this 'discussion'.

Mr. Adams,
I find it almost laughable that you want to spend someone else's money for
them.
If this is such a crucial need for history, let history pay for the tests to
be done. There are any number of historical foundations around, including
the Jefferson foundations, who should be footing the bill since they are the
ones with the most at stake.
It is interesting that I brought up this subject on a forum for American
History and had not a single person interested in this "controversy". I
think in the minds of most people the DNA showing that there was Jefferson
DNA in the descendents, was enough to convince them that the Madison Hemings
story was as likely to be true as the Eston Hemings story.
