I understand that St. Mary's Catholic Church of Alexandria, Va. is the
oldest Catholic church in Va., established in the mid 1790's. The Catholic
Church is very protective of its parochial records. However, some
information can be found on the Web page of the Archdiocese of Baltimore,
under which sat the Catholic church in Virginia until the early 20th
century. Film of countless records can be viewed at the Maryland State
Archives.
