Actually, Anne, Nat Turner is on the Virginia Standards of Learning--look
under VUS.6. And since when are we as teachers restricted to only teaching
what is on the SOLs. I also think it is very important for educators to use
correct punctuation, capitalization, and grammar as a model for our students.
