Can anyone suggests ways to get at occupation data for Virginians in the period
1790-1830? I'm trying to get an idea of the relative prosperity (or lack thereof)
of various types of artisans. Is there some way to get an idea of the earnings
and/or property holdings of wheelwrights, carpenters, blacksmiths, coopers, et al.?
