I have by my desk the 1999 Virginia Cavalcade special issue on George
Washington which is invaluable to me as I write a book on GW and his
slaves. Four articles by some of the very top scholars in the GW field.
In the back is a bibliography of over 40 articles on George Washington
the magazine has published in its history. How can Virginia historical
scholarship survive without this publication?
