The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation invites applications for short-term residential research fellowships.

This fellowship primarily supports research on the American Revolution, Early Republic, or ideas and philosophies of America's founding fathers, broadly considered. The successful applicant's research will help inform future historical programming at Colonial Williamsburg and contribute to the historiography in their field.

In addition to Colonial Williamsburg's John D. Rockefeller Jr. Library, fellows have access to other Colonial Williamsburg resources - including object collections, archaeology and architectural artifact holdings, and a world class staff of knowledgeable professionals.

Colonial Williamsburg is also conveniently located to institutions with vast primary -source holdings, including William & Mary Libraries, The Library of Virginia, and The Virginia Museum of History and Culture among others.

Fellowships carry a stipend of $2,500 per month and are available to researchers with strong qualifications and research proposals. Applications are due March 31st, 2020 and decisions will be announced shortly after. Additional information can be found at: http://research.history.org/learning/fellowships/
