The Library of Virginia is pleased to announce the new on-line
exhibition, "Brown v. Board of Education; Virginia Responds," containing
many of the documents and images from the exhibition of that title now
on display in the lobby of the Library of Virginia at 800 East Broad
Street in downtown Richmond. The exhibition is on view from 9:00 A.M. to
5:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday from now through 31 July 2004. (Please
remember that the reading rooms of the Library of Virginia remain closed
to researchers on Monday.)
The exhibition contains newspapers, archival records, personal papers,
and other records that describe the many ways in which Virginians
reacted to the controversial landmark Supreme Court decision.
To view the on-line exhibition, please begin at the Library of
Virginia's web site <http://www.lva.lib.va.us> and click Spotlight
What's New; or click open the Site Index in the left margin, click the
letter E, and click Exhibitions.
