Is there any readily available (i.e. inexpensive) technology such a 'ground penetrating radar' to use in a known graveyard, to locate old (18th century) unknown graves? I assume that although long decayed, the dust of bones will give the ground slightly different density, indicating that the ground has been disturbed. We have a couple of old family graveyards in Nelson County, and the siting of known graves makes it appear that there must be missing graves.
