The Mount Airy in Charles City County that John Maass referred to is on
the tidal Chickahominy River
(http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=37.35111&lon=-76.91833) and looks
to be 10-15 miles from the Surry County side of the James River...I
would think it a likely candidate for the Mount Airy that you are
looking for.

Without looking at the entire context of the document, I would think
that Faulcon & Co.'s efforts to perhaps be reimbursed in Surry County
for losses suffered at the hands of the "salt mob" does not necessarily
rule out Mount Airy, Charles City County, as a point of entry for their
goods.

I can look for additional locations named Mount Airy tonight.
