The next program in the Virginia Heritage Research Center's Mining the
Treasure House lecture series will take place at noon on Tuesday, 16
September, 2003, in the conference rooms adjacent to the lobby in the
Library of Virginia at 800 East Broad Street in downtown Richmond.

The speaker will be Brent Tarter, Program Manager of the Publications
and Educational Services Section at the Library. His topic will be,
"Eastern Shore Andes and Other Virginia Myths," and he will explore some
famous and not so famous myths about Virginia. The talk is tied to the
Lobby exhibition, Virginia I Hardy Know Ye, about the inaccuracies,
false conclusions and false impressions that color Virginia history.

There is free underground parking for Library patrons. For more
information on this and other programs and services of the Library of
Virginia please visit the Library's web site at http://lva.lib.va.us or
call 804-692-3592.
