Ziegler's who came to the Colonies in 1700. They landed in Philadelphia and
move to the Shenandoah Valley area in Pa and Virginia about 1770.
I Hope we can hash all of these issues out civilly. This is a lot easier
writing about the 'issues'. Would that all problems be resolved so easily.

John,
Sorry for misleading you. Unless you have roots in the Pa Dutch communities
or ancestors among those early squatters who stole Indian lands in Ohio, we
are not related.
The things that interest me more than finding out where in Germany, Sweden,
Wales, and Ireland, my family came from, are the events that happened over
the years and were left off the documentation. There was a girl who was
adopted into the family - she was "handicapped" and did not live to
adulthood. She most probably was the illegitmate daughter of someone within
the family. Then there is mention of a set of twins who lived at the family
farm, and were said to be "odd". According to Mom, the twins went away and
were never heard of again, with the thought that maybe the just hopped a
train, and from her childish view, felt that everyone was glad they were
gone. My sister has two autistic children, and the "odd" behaviors are
similar to those of one of her boys. Was there autism in the family long
before it came under modern scrutiny? These are the questions we have about
our family history that cannot be answered by DNA tests, at least at
present.
