Colleagues, to add a further modest stir to the pot of Jefferson and sexuality, on 10 May 1784 Jefferson recorded selling 22 books (most in French) to James Monroe (Jefferson's account book, Jefferson papers, DLC). This included four works by Samuel-Auguste Tissot (health, maladies, epilepsy and _L'Onanisme: dissertations sur les maladies produits par la Masturbation_ [1772].
(For a slight further stir, according to Gordon Jones, _The Library of James Monroe . . . . [Fredericksburg: James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library and Charlottesville: Bibliographical Society of the University of Virginia, 1967] Monroe also owned Swediaur, _Traite complet sur les symptoms, les effets, la nature, et le traitement des maladies syphilitiques_ [Paris, 1801].
(BTW I am working on a revised edition of _The Library of James Monroe . . . ._ and if you have any information concerning books owned or used by Monroe, please let me know.)
