If memory serves, Virginia conducted an extraordinarily detailed property tax in 1815 for which extensive records survive in the archives at the Library of Virginia.
A friend is interested in looking up some Bedford County residents. Can anyone supply the LVA citation and guidance as to how best she should gain access to these records?
  Thank you.
