In 1825, Richard Henry Lee described a speech given by his father some 60-odd years earlier, to the Virginia House of Burgesses.  The speech is a fairly conventional early example of the "internal enemy" argument that Alan Taylor describes for a somewhat later period.

Does anyone know anything about the provenance of this speech?  Richard Henry Lee (son) seems to be working from the papers of RH Lee (father).  Has the document survived in one of the various Lee family papers?
