Anne, I just checked 24 different dictionaries for the definition of the
word "pimp." I find your use of "...it can be anything even as small as a
"Thank you" and still lie within the definition..." to be pretty far
reaching and most probably far outside of the "common definition" of "pimp."
If you would like a list of the dictionaries I consulted I would be happy to
provide it.
