We have tried to be as comprehensive as we can, with ads from as many Virginia papers as we could track down. This is a project of the Virginia Center for Digital History, supported by an NEH grant. Dan Meaders who published the volume of ads from 1801-1820 that Henry mentioned also has a volume of runaway servant ads from Philadelphia newspapers, 18th-early 19th century, I believe.
