I believe this was (or is?) a society--- maybe like the Masons?

The 2 collectible items I have appear to be about 1940-50-60s vintage. The
emblem is a "monogram" composed of a compass centered with the initials V C
and set over an ANV battle flag.

Any hints will be appreciated. For example, is there a website listing
functioning or defunct societies in Virginia?

The one concrete clue I have is the address "Art Guild Inc., Richmond, VA.
23230" on the edge of a "Memento of Visitation" pin-back badge.

Thanks.
