Does anyone know of any research done on the post-Civil War life of
Elizabeth Van Lew, the Richmond spy (and postmistress)?  I'm interested
in her contacts with Thaddeus Stephens, Rufus Paine Spalding, and other
political figures in Washington DC during Reconstruction.
