While the names of all roads may not be shown on this map one of the most interesting 19th century maps iof Virginia is Hermann Boye's "A map of the state of Virginia, constructed in conformity to law from the late surveys authorized by the legislature and other original and authentic documents / by Herman Böÿe, 1825". The map was reissued in 1859.
