Possibly Hawkins's from Bonham Texas, 1844 Hawkins Prairie, Tx. We came from
Palmyra, Missouri (1820), Bourbon Co., Ky 1800 and Shenandoah from 1730's.
I thought in the movie, he was a representative from Ohio. If so, it might
have meant he was a descendant of Benjamin Hawkins, adjutant to Geo.
Washington - Rev War to becoming the Cherokee Representative.

If I remember correctly, Hawkins was one of the men working on getting votes
from House members. Not a member of Congress. And I am a descendent of the
Hawkins of Oklahoma.
