The Conference on Women and the Civil War attendees will have the
opportunity to see a homespun dress from the collection of Vicki
Betts. Vicki is a well know researcher and probably the most knowledgeable
person in the area of homespun in the Civil War.
She will be sharing her research on the patriotic use of homespun, actual
and practical use of homespun as well as descriptions of a number of
homespun dresses.
This is a real treat to see a homespun out of a museum setting.
We hope to see everyone at the conference. Stay tuned for additional tour
stops of the conference.
