I am trying to identify a source of Revolutionary War records that I found online in an old book entitled
" List of the Revolutionary Soldiers of Virginia", VIRGINIA STATE LIBRARY, Supplement, Special Report of the Department. of Archives and History for 1912"
The source I am trying to identify was : "Revolutionary Army.
Four volumes of miscellaneous Ms. matter concerning the Revolution."
If anyone has an idea I would be grateful - I am looking for genealogical clues
for Thomas Shaw, (a free man of color from Culpeper County) who might be an ancestor of mine
who I found on the list. I am truly thankful to one of our list members who started me on the quest by kindly
pointing me to two Library of VA sources that listed him: 1. "Chesterfield Supplement" and a 2. "A Register & Description of
Noncommissioned Officers & Privates, at Chesterfield Court House, et al.enlisted at different times from
1777 to 1783." The source I am trying to idenify may be one of the two I have indicated above.
