In my twilight years, I have catalogued my collection of mostly brass music, predominately with Virginia tie-ins. I have about 1700 titles in about 100 collections. It is primarily hard-copy, part books, song books, etc. but does have some auxiliary MP3 files of some of the music. I would like to eventually contribute all of it to an institution who would be interested, but my first task is to find somebody who can put some valuation on it for me. I can send via snail mail a document which list the collections, shows examples, and discusses some of the more important ones.

Does anybody know of any musical historian out there with whom I might contract to estimate a value?
