Shenandoah
The Blue and Gray (miniseries)-about 2/3 the action is in VA
Toy Soldiers?   not sure if this is the correct title

The Mrs. Murphy mystery series and Sis Arnold foxhunt mystery series by Rita
Mae Brown
Jacob's Ladder by Donald McCaig
