Dear Listers:

Recently I read on this list a mention of the difference between slavery
in Africa and slavery in America. Could someone refresh my memory.

And a clarification on slaves that were taken by the conquering nearby
tribe and those slaves sold to People (? Arabs) who took them to the
coast (?by Portuguese) to ship them to other points.

??Also Liberia. When was the deportation of Blacks to Liberia first
addressed - and when was the first shipment?
